Third Party Routes
The British driving society has 11 different drives in Flintshire with places to stay that are suggested starting places together with places to stop for refreshment but please check in advance.
There are many places to ride (both on horseback and on a bike) in Wrexham County Borough Council. They have an extensive network of ‘Green lanes’ in the south of the County with two circular off-road routes. In the north there are three quiet on-road routes and one mixed off-road route.
Ride the range around the Moel Famau Country Park area, the ride is off the beaten track, and will take you along tracks, fields, minor roads and through woodland, across fields and hills. This is a route for confident riders who can navigate around the countryside.  Parking at Moel Famau Country Park (Lower end of Moel Fenlli).
Routes designed for cyclists, though, may be usable on horseback
